What is a Specialist Consultation?
A specialist consultation with one our expert Gastroenterologists represents the first step in your clinical journey at Gastrointestinal Specialists. During your consultation, your Gastroenterologist will seek to better understand your health problem and formulate a management plan which may involve one or more investigations such as blood tests, stool analysis, imaging assessments, and/or endoscopy. Many patients will require a follow-up appointment to discuss the findings of these investigations as they often form the basis for your ongoing management. A specialist consultation can take anywhere between 10 to 40 minutes, and in some cases even longer, depending on the complexity of care required.
